This is a Yoga Teacher Training program that we like to call Flexible Immersion.

Flexible as we have a rolling admission, that allows the training to start as soon as you commit, using materials and online training that allows you to work at your own pace and on your own time.

Immersion as we have Mandatory Contact Hours that will take place in Boca Raton, Florida.

You’ll be lead you through movement experiments that will help you apply anatomy ideas to your own practice, and give you tools you’ll be able to access as a teacher. You’ll have time to soak up the material and try it out it in your own asana practice.

This means that when we come together as a group, you’ll already have a strong foundation and we’ll be able to dive even deeper into the material, rather than spend valuable group time on basic concepts and memorization. Using our time with Donna, in hands-on application for Adjustments and modifications, Asana Foundations, Sequencing. Discussion on the History of Yoga, the Philosophy of Yoga, and the Practice of Pranayama, Meditation, Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga and more.

By the time we’re finished, you’ll have a broad understanding of the topics most important to a yoga teacher so you can begin teaching with confidence.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

How much yoga experience do I need to apply to the program? You must have at least 1 year of yoga experience. Some students may only have 1 year experience when they start the program, and some students may have 20 plus years of experience under their belt. We’ll start with the basics so that all needs will be met, and all our students will walk out with the confidence to teach yoga.

How much does the 200HR Teacher Training Program cost?  The program is $2995. You’ll be responsible for transportation to and from all locations, and the purchase of your books, which are listed below.

The mandatory contact hours start in less than a month, can I finish the online portion after we meet? Yes you can start the program at any time before the date set for our mandatory contact hours. You will not however graduate until all work is completed.

I’ve been transferred and need to cancel my training. If for whatever reason you need to leave the training, partial refund is available if you’ve received the online portion of the training, but have not started the in person training. 

What is the average age of yoga teachers in training? The minimum age requirement is 18, and there is no maximum limit, as yoga is not influenced by age, gender, etc. Regardless of your age and even past yoga experience, we start off covering the basics so that we can build a solid foundation.

Can I take this course if I’m not positive I want to become a yoga instructor? Yes, of course. That’s okay with us. Many are unsure of whether or not they will teach, but all know that they want to deepen their knowledge. Some will teach, some won’t. Some sign up saying they’ll never teach and then they do. It’s one step on your path. Enroll in Azul Yoga Institute’s 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training Program. Come Practice yoga. Come share experiences with a small group of compassionate peers of all ages and all walks of life, who more than likely will become some of your closest friends.

Can I take this course if I’m already a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher? Yes, many teachers have had such tremendous experience and growth in their 200 HR Teacher Trainings that they want the experience again.

I am pregnant. Can I still apply? You are more than welcome to apply and enroll. If you do enroll, please consider the timing of your delivery, as you will be held to the same attendance standards as students who are not pregnant.

What if I have to miss part of a training? 100% attendance is required for Yoga Alliance certification, but we will be happy to work with you in the unfortunate event of an emergency. A few hours have been worked into the program to allow for “life” events causing delays etc. Yoga Alliance will not certify you until you have completed your certification through Azul Yoga Institute. So you’re strongly urged to not register for a teacher training program if you know that you will need to miss any time. Missing class is costly and will not result in the same quality of learning experience as with your original group of peers, and I can not guarantee that I’ll be able available to finish your training other than the time spent with the group.

Is there any homework? Yes, in addition to the required reading there will be written assignments, evaluations, class observations and assists, a journal, a written test and a student practicum. All homework details will be clearly explained.

What is Yoga Alliance? Yoga Alliance is the largest nonprofit association representing the yoga community. Their mission is to promote and support the integrity and diversity of the teaching of yoga. Do I get a Yoga Alliance certificate when I graduate? No you will receive an Azul Yoga Institute Certificate, provided all homework, hours, and finances are in order, that makes you eligible to apply to be a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. You will upload your certificate to Yoga Alliance’s website and pay a membership fee to obtain your Yoga Alliance certification. We will discuss Yoga Alliance during the program so that you will completely understand the process.
